System Health Checks

Although most backup implementations are inherently scalable, all require regular monitoring and maintenance to guarantee that your business-critical data remains protected in the wake of today's unprecedented storage system growth rates. Further, the personnel to whom you entrust your entire backup and disaster recovery infrastructure, and who know all of the ins-and-outs of its inner workings and configuration, will eventually change jobs — and on the average over 80% of the cumulative knowledge about the systems and procedures that they have grown familiar with will leave with them.

To address these critical issues, STORMATRIX offers periodic system maintenance packages called "Health Checks."

Once a quarter a STORMATRIX engineer will be dispatched to your site and, following an extensive review of the system in its current state (as compared with that of our last visit), will provide written recommendations on how to best adapt the existing hardware, software, and operational procedures to your ever-changing data load and business recovery requirements.

STORMATRIX Health Checks include:

· Performance testing

· Backup / Archiving software configuration and tuning

· Documentation of all findings

While on-site we gather such essential client-level disaster recovery information as:

· Disk partitioning information

· Operating system and patch revisions

· SCSI IDs and controller configurations

· And more…

All of this data is recorded in a living document which helps us both track how the entire system is growing and changing over time. This information ensures seamless continuity within your data management infrastructure as your business continues to grow, regardless of how your staffing may change.
